I. Background & Purpose (緣起)

To help students understand workplace culture and emerging trends early on, we have integrated "Career Mentors" into the university’s existing mentorship system. By leveraging faculty expertise, these mentors bridge the gap between academic curriculum and the professional job market.

II. System Design (制度設計)

The program is department-based and profession-oriented. Each department recommends qualified faculty members to serve as Career Mentors. These mentors act as "professional navigators," guiding students to build essential career readiness skills.

III. Responsibilities (職涯導師任務)

  1. Career Consultation: Providing college-specific career counseling and academic course planning guidance.

  2. Industry Trends: Helping students understand industry developments and employment trends.

  3. Event Promotion: Encouraging participation in career-related activities, such as Employer Information Sessions, Career Lectures, Corporate Site Visits, and Internships.

  4. Student Guidance: Assisting freshmen with initial guidance and supporting sophomores/juniors with UCAN assessment and career planning re-evaluations.
